Dornoch lies a few miles off the A9 and, with the pressure of time to catch the ferry, we regret we can't come into Sutherland's capital to pick up. We do however pick up on the A9 at the 2 most convenient points for Dornoch: 1. Where the A 949 from Dornoch joins the A9 - if you can see a Shell filling station (right), you're at the right place. (Unfortuantely, the restaurant isn't open at this time of the morning.) 2. Where the B 9168 from Dornoch joins the A9 - if you can see the Trentham Hotel, you're at the right place.
